Increase in the number of awards begins in 2020

Beginning  in 2020, up to two published papers will be selected. A donation from the Foundation in recognition of the authors will be made to a non-profit foundation that funds research in Women’s Health.

Addition of awards to health advocacy and “hands on” health care for women. Because the Columbia Hospital for Women and its supporters had served women in the Washington DC. area, non-profits in this region will be prioritized if possible; however, any non-profit foundation or practice dedicated to women’s health will be considered.

The Board of Directors has unanimously agreed to extend the range of funding to cover non-profits in the areas of women’s health advocacy and direct patient care. Discussions on this began in 2023 and for the calendar year 2024. Awardees are listed under Philanthropy.
